Turkey Trot 4 Miler

20 11 2008

There’s no better way

to begin Thanksgiving Day

than by running 4 miles

or doing a relay!

Bring the whole family to the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.  Benefitting the March of Dimes, the race is a winding course through Shelby Farms, and, if 4 miles seems like a stretch or if you prefer team participation, the Turkey Leg Relay is an option, too.  Both events are chip-timed.  This means that you wear a timing chip on your shoe laces, but, if you’re doing the relay, your chip is inside the turkey leg that acts as your team’s baton!

The Turkey Trot has become a Memphis tradition and is a large event, so be prepared for some lines at registration on Thanksgiving morning, or drop by Fleet Feet on Tuesday, Nov 25th, for 3-6pm to pick up your race goody bag in advance.

To register early, visit here:  Turkey Trot 4 Miler and Turkey Leg Relay.

See you there!
