22 11 2013

We’re starting a new series on our website and in our newsletter profiling a few awesome runners we’re fortunate to have in our Fleet Feet family! First up is Maggie B, one of our training program participants and an employee at St. Jude.

1.      How/when did you get into running?

Started running in 2005 with a family member who quit 2 weeks after we started.

2.      Are you currently training for a race?

Yes, training with Fleet Feet for the Half in the St. Jude Memphis Half Marathon— Dec 7th.

 3.      What keeps you motivated?

Achieving my personal challenge of reaching my personal best in the SJMM and working for ALSAC/St. Jude where “running for a reason” is so true!

 4.      Do you enjoy running by yourself or in a group?

Both,  but when running with a group, I prefer smaller groups  for the personal connection.

 5.      What’s your best advice for a new runner?

You have to be self-disciplined and a starter!

 6.      What are your running must-haves?

Garmin, IPhone, ear buds, sunglasses and wide running shoes—Asics
